Bouchard Père & Fils Meursault Les Perrieres 2018, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Meursault, Burgundy

"The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières is showing very nicely from bottle, offering up a youthful but already expressive bouquet of citrus oil, pear, blanched almonds, pastry cream and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, racy and incisive, it's elegantly textural, with fine concentration, tangy acids, and a precise, mineral finish. While this Perrières is already deceptively charming, if it gains in depth and complexity with bottle age as much as I suspect it will, this score may seem conservative." 93 William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Chavy Chouet Meursault Les Casse Tetes 2021, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Meursault, Burgundy

"Three barrels instead of 15. Pretty pale lemon. Lightly perfumed, more in citrus. Quite complex behind, fairly generous fruit across the middle of the palate, then a lively acidity to finish. Good length, an interesting cuvée. Drink from 2025-2030." 89-92 Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

Chavy-Chouet Meursault les Charmes 2020, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Meursault, Burgundy

"The 2020 Meursault Les Charmes 1er Cru perhaps does not deliver quite the same mineralité or energy as the Les Genevrieres on the nose, maybe a little timid at the moment. The palate is well balanced with a sapid entry, quite saline with hints of oyster shells and fruits de mer towards its composed and persistent finish. Very fine. (Drink between 2024-2040)"93 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous

"Moderately generous wood stops just short of fighting with the ripe aromas of pear and apple compote, citrus confit and white peach. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors possess an abundance of dry extract that buffers the firm, palate coating and powerful finish. Some patience would be beneficial here as well as this is presently quite compact though not especially austere." 92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound

Joseph Drouhin Meursault 2020, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Meursault, Burgundy

“A classically structured wine for this appellation with the weight and round generosity that we expect from it, but with plenty of bright citrus and pear fruit, something these wines can lack a bit of. Good depth with an excellent integration of chalky minerality and healthy acidity at the long and delicate finish. With aeration a touch of vanilla bean develops on the nose. Drink or hold.” 93, James Suckling, Sep 2022

The villages level bottlings of both white and red wines at Maison Drouhin have been getting better and better with each passing vintage, and the 2020 Meursault is no exception. This is a lovely wine, offering up a ripe and very refined bouquet of apple, tangerine, hazelnuts, fruit blossoms, a fine base of chalky soil and a nice base of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full, complex and succulent at the core, with a lovely girdle of acidity, impeccable balance and a long, vibrant and quite classic finish. Fine juice.91, John Gilman, View From The Cellar
