Domaines Lupier Garnacha Navarra La Dama 2018, 0.75L
Grenache from Navarra, Navarra

"No 2017 was produced, so after the 2016 I tasted a while ago, we jump to the 2018 La Dama, vinified by Enrique Basarte and Elisa Úcar and blended and bottled by Raúl Pérez, the new owner of the project. They always look for a more delicate expression of Garnacha from selected stonier plots of old head-pruned and dry-farmed vines in the village of San Martín de Unx that are worked organically and biodynamically but are not certified. The wine is stunning, elegant and aromatic, with depth, complexity and grip. It's incredibly young and expressive and doesn't show its age at all; it has a refined nose and is quite fruit-driven and floral, with very integrated oak (like never before), supple flavors and very fine tannins. It has good ripeness and contained alcohol (13.8%) and good freshness and acidity (with a pH of 3.46 and 6.3 grams of tartaric)." 97 Luis Guterrez, Wine Advocate

Jaimee Motley Wines Peter Martin Ray Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Cruz Mountains 2018, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Santa Cruz Mountains, California

"Jaimee Motley's 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Peter Martin Ray is shaping up to be a jewel of a wine. Rich and layered in the glass, the 2018 has that extra kick of mid-palate density and volume that the 2017 doesn't, the result of a far more even and favorable growing season. Dark plum, mint, lavender, spice and dried herbs all develop with a bit of air, but it is the wine's balance that is most compelling. The 50% whole clusters are barely perceptible. What a wine..." 91-94 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com, Jan 2021

Mayacamas Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Mt. Veeder, California

"The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon was just bottled this past summer. It is of course a very young wine, but possesses tremendous aromatic nuance and freshness to play off a core of huge dark fruit. Readers will have to be patient with the 2018, as it is an imposing, vertical Cabernet that needs years to be at its best. Bright floral and spice notes lift the soaring finish as the wine's inner sweetness gradually emerges over time. The 2018 is super-impressive. That's all there is to it." 98 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Racines Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills 2018, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Sta. Rita Hills, California

"Racines is a collaboration between Tyler Winery’s Justin Willett, Domaine de Montille’s Étienne de Montille and Brian Sieve, and Rodolphe Péters of Champagne Pierre Péters, working with entirely Sta. RIta Hills fruit. For the most part, the entire lineup levels-up the intensity and structure of the Tyler wines, as is the case with their Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir. Sourced from multiple sites across the appellation with a backbone of La Encantada Vineyard. Meaty, dense, and reminiscent of a damp forest on the nose and palate, with a balanced, dark-fruited, saline-heavy finish." - 94 points, Decanter Magazine
