"Showing similar to a barrel sample tasted with importer Peter Weygandt, the 2017 Rasteau Cuvée 1921 offers a brilliant bouquet of cassis and blueberries intermixed with notions of violets, graphite, and incense. With full-bodied richness, remarkable purity, and plenty of tannins, this serious Rasteau will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and cruise in cool cellar for a decade. This cuvée comes from 90-year-old vines and is a mix of 90% Grenache, 7% Mourvèdre, and 3% Carignan." |
