"The red 2016 Microcósmico Garnacha was produced with grapes grown in slate soils at 700 meters in altitude, in the village of Jarque. It fermented with 10% whole clusters and matured mostly in concrete, with the small remaining amounts that didn't fit in the vats, being matured in used 500-liter barrels for six months. As I saw with many other wines, this 2016 has gained in precision and freshness from the previous 2015 bottling. It's floral, perfumed and elegant, a naked Garnacha with great purity. The tannins are fine and it's simply delicious, with some notes of wild herbs and flowers. . ." |
