"The outstanding 1997 Pinot Noir Archery Summit exhibits a darker ruby color than the Van Der Kamp Vineyard Old Vines, and a firmer, more austere personality, but has beautifully pure black raspberry and cassis notes intermixed with earthy and vanilla scents. This is a classy, structured, exceptionally pure, backward, medium to full-bodied Pinot Noir. This winery continues to specialize in high quality Pinot Noir from some of the best vineyard sites in California and Oregon.
