Lot #84. Léoville-Las Cases 1970

Description: Consists of 6 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 95 JGWA.
"Quite a deep colour. Lovely expressive, firm taut nose. Savoury yet complex and inviting. Still tight-wound with dark fruits evident and a savoury, earthy edge. The palate is concentrated and dense; it’s still quite youthful with really impressive, firm structure. The acidity and tannic structure leaves it a bit austere on the finish, but this is a lovely, serious clart. Needs quite a bit more time. Excellent." Jamie Goode, WineAnorak.com, Mar 2005
Provenance: The Indy Cellar.
Notes: 4 upper mid shoulder, 2 mid shoulder, 2 torn, 2 wine stained and 2 lightly corroded capsules, 1 partially exposing cork, 2 nicked, 2 lightly torn, bin soiled and heavily glue stained labels, 5 signs of past seepage.
