90 VM. "Here is the sort of primary juiciness that one craves but too seldom encounters to accompany Muskateller’s typical mint- and sage-like pungency, apricot fruit and citricity – in this case a colorful meld of zesty lemon, grapefruit and pineapple near the core. For all of its refreshing vivacity, this wine’s texture is remarkably creamy, so that it caresses even as its sappy, bittersweet finish invigorates. Hints of cassis and elderflower enhance the impression of enjoying a Muscat-Scheurebe blend. It was late October before these grapes got picked – and clearly Berger did well by waiting."
