Still close to its peak, this domaine-sourced bottle of the prodigious 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de la Reine des Bois showed some hints of dead leaves and decay, but it balanced those with still-fresh notes of raspberries and cherries. Medium to full-bodied, silky and long, it should probably be consumed over the next few years. Reviewed by: Joe Czerwinski
