"Tasted at the IMW horizontal at Vintners Hall . . . . smoked meats, granite, again a hint of raspberry leaf and cherry - somehow the phrase ‘sand and pebbles’ springs to mind. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, grainy tannins, very good weight in the middle with a nice build towards the ripe strawberry and cranberry finish, laced with a touch of white pepper. Lovely wine – traditional and full of charm . . . . Tasted March 2009."
