" The sulfur had just been adjusted on the Murgers ’07, so the wine may well be a tad better than my note indicates, though it seemed to me to be showing very well in February. The bouquet offers up scents of plums, black cherries, chocolate, gamebirds, soil and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and strikingly pure and focused, with a sappy core of fruit, some chewy tannins to resolve, fine balance and excellent grip on the tangy finish. A fine bottle in the making."
