"Vaulorent is a sub-climat of Fourchaume and sits directly across from Les Preuses; it is considered by many, along with Montée de Tonnerre, to be the best 1er in Chablis. This too is very ripe yet manages to retain an aromatic profile that is clearly Chablis-based, running to white flowers and green fruit that precede big, rich and full flavors that display admirable detail and cut on the powerful finish. This is a really promising effort that knocks on the door of grand cru quality."
