89 WE "A bit floral or herbal on the nose, but there's also plenty of vibrant cherry fruit that broadens out on the midpalate, giving a nice feeling of fat. Soft tannins are accented by touches of black tea and anise on the black cherry finish." "Good deep red-ruby. High-pitched aromas of cherry, raspberry and violet. Sweet, pliant and fruit-driven, with moderately complex black fruit flavors along with some caramelly oak. Finishes with sweet tannins and good length. Easygoing wine with moderate nuance. (A bottle tasted earlier in New Zealand showed concentrated fruit flavors but seemed a bit more heavily extracted.)"
