The nose offers up a mélange of strawberry preserves, quince, herbs, minerals and a whisper of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, succulent and juicy, with a solid core of fruit, good length, and just a whisper of tannin on the finish. This bottle will benefit from a year or two in the cellar to allow even more complexity to emerge, but it is already a very tasty glass. - John Gilman, View From The Cellar, May 2001
