"The 2019 Meursault Les Chevalières comes from a single parcel - this being the penultimate vintage since Clerget pulled up the vines as they are superannuated and produced only three barrels in 2020. Matured in 20% new oak, it has a gentle bouquet with light apple blossom and peach skin aromas, a hint of hazelnut loitering backstage. The palate is well balanced with a light citrus peel note on the entry flanked by orange pith and again, peach skin notes. This is a gentle and caressing Meursault that should be ready to drink after just 12-18 months in bottle." |
