"Markedly anise-suffused aromas of poached plum, dark pinot fruit and discreet spice wisps are framed by moderately generous wood and menthol character. The supple, round and fleshy yet solidly punchy flavors possess a lovely mid-palate texture along with a trace of minerality on the ever-so-mildly warm finale that is sneaky long. This isn't quite as complex but as the Champs Martin but it's a quality effort all the same." |
