"The 2018 Rosso di Montalcino Ginestreto is a gorgeous expression of Sangiovese fruit, showing spiced black cherries with hints of clove, sage and dusty florals. It’s ripe and generous yet also perfectly balanced, blending wild berry fruit with salty minerals, as zesty acids keep its energy high. There’s a bit of a tannic tug here, but it never gets in the way of this truly enjoyable Rosso; instead it just punctuates the expression perfectly. It will be hard to keep your hands off, but another year in bottle may bring out further depths." |
