Score: .PN
Review: "Our vineyards are located in the Bastonaca district, between Vittoria, Acate and Comiso, an area in the province of Ragusa in South Eastern Sicily, where Nero d'Avola and Frappato ripen, native grapes that express all the their typicality and specificity. Cerasuolo di Vittoria, the only Sicilian Docg, is born from the union of these two exceptional vines. Strong of a centuries-old wine vocation, the Iblean terroir is characterized by the nature of the calcareous-clayey soils rich in iron and by the hot-arid Mediterranean microclimate, free of fog and with strong temperature variations between day and night. These conditions, the natural and non-irrigated cultivation of the plants, allow to obtain a wine with typical and unrepeatable organoleptic qualities. Our vineyards follow the ancient tradition of sapling viticulture, with narrow planting distances that allow only manual interventions from pruning to harvest. Each plant is supervised individually by our vine-growers and each intervention is decided plant by plant with non-invasive tools and systems in compliance with the natural rhythms and cycles of vegetation."
