"ROAM holds approximately 2 vine-acres within the Sleeping Lady Vineyard in Yountville, Napa Valley. Nestled up against the western foot hills of the Mayacamas mountain range, Sleeping Lady feels like a manicured Zen Garden; everything is in balance. The vineyard is meticulously managed by fellow Swiss-Italian (and Mario's life-long friend) Giancarlo Bettinelli, together with his brother-in-law Paul Goldberg.  The vines here were first planted by Giancarlo's father Larry Bettinelli, who pioneered a row trellising technique that allows dappled sunlight to filter into the canopy and grace the ripening grapes gently, never risking sunburn. ROAM's parcels within Sleeping Lady are situated on ancient cobblestone loam soils, that drain perfectly.  The combination of these elements allow our Cabernet Sauvignon to build layered complexity, and a core of vibrant and ethereal red-fruit classical flavors.
