"Les Raspillères is a single parcel on limestone soils that has been turned into something special in the hands of the gifted Frantz Chagnoleau. Aged in larger oak barrels, 10% of which are new here, this is a sappy, zesty modern Viré-Clessé with passion fruit and grapefruit flavours, a hint of aniseed spice and very good palate length for a wine at this very affordable price." |
