"The 2018 Santenay Les Charmes-Dessus is not expressive compared to the Domaine’s other cuvées, the shutters are closed! The palate is medium-bodied with edgy, chalky tannins. You might imagine there is some whole bunches here but there is in fact none, a touch of graphite and citrus fruit towards the slightly brittle finish. This will need time, but patience will be rewarded." |
