It is a wonderful blend of cooler climate vineyards and sourced entirely from Sta. Rita Hills in 2021. Aged for 8 months in neutral French oak barrels, alcohol 14%, 125 cases produced." "The Santa Barbara County Grenache was inspired by Fonsalette from Chateau Rayas. The wine represents two very different microclimates. The first vineyard is the Highlands with 3200 feet elevation. The second vineyard is Curtis which is tucked away in Foxen Canyon. The fruit was destemmed and each lot was fermented separately and aged for 16 months in neutral French oak. The resulting wine is elegantly structured and focused, and is an excellent introduction to Angela’s style." Producer Notes

"The 2020 Chardonnay Vino de los Ranchos is a new cuvée from Scar of the Sea, from own-rooted vines planted in 1973 near Bien Nacido vineyard. Still in barrel on the lees, the first sneak peek is promising. The nose offers singular aromas of panna cotta, Greek yogurt and yellow orchard fruits, and the palate is rounded and savory with a juicy bite of acidity and a creamy finish.
