Malescot St. Exupery 2024, 1.5L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Petit Verdot from Margaux, Bordeaux
“The 2024 Malescot Saint Exupery has a cohesive nose with ample scents of blackberry, raspberry, light violet and just a touch of cedar in the background-backward, for sure, but it unfurls in the glass. The medium-bodied palate has firm tannins, a little chewy in a pleasant way with composure and bite on the finish. This is a thoroughly enjoyable fresh Margaux that will drink earlier than the 2022.” 91-93, Neal Martin, Vinous May 2025

Carruades de Lafite 2024, 1.5L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from Pauillac, Bordeaux
“The 2024 Carruades de LaLafite is plush, sensual and inviting right out of the gate. Soft contours wrap around a core of plum, black cherry, gravel, incense, licorice and baking spice. This is a rare Carruades that is Merlot-driven. It’s a balance that works quite well. This showy, inviting Carruades is quite the charmer.” 91-93, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Apr 2025
“Gorgeous deep plum colour, very juicy, extremely well handled, savoury and mouthwatering, cassis bud, roses, crayon, shorter on the finish than a typical Carruades, but this has plenty of subtle pleasure and will be ready to drink sooner than usual. Harvest 23 September to 7 October, 32hl/h yield, 47% of the harvest is in this wine, 12% press.” 92, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux, Apr 2025

Lafite Rothschild 2024, 1.5L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Merlot / Petit Verdot from Pauillac, Bordeaux
“The 2024 Lafite-Rothschild is a sensual, elegant wine very much in style of the year. Plush and enveloping, with lovely forward fruit, the 2024 is very Lafite, perhaps a bit reticent, but super-expressive just the same. Black cherry, pomegranate, blood orange and a kiss of espresso all build in the glass, framed by quintessentially finessed Lafite tannins. The 2024 is sublime. I expect it will be one of the top wines in the Médoc when all is said and done.” 94-96, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Apr 2025
“Rich texture, this stands head and shoulders above many in the vintage, with graphite, crayon, cassis bud rather than exuberant black fruits, this is precise, savoury, delineated, floral, gunsmoke, juicy, captures the effortless elegance that Lafite does so so well, and it totally delivers. Harvest 23 September to 7 October, 32hl/h yield, above the Pauillac average, 16% press wine included in the blend. Director Eric Kohler's 33rd year in Pauillac. I am giving a slightly earlier begin drinking date, but I am certain this will age exceptionally well as Lafite always does. Slightly earlier starting date for drinking than usual, eight years following harvest.” 95, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux, Apr 2025

Pontet-Canet 2024, 1.5L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot from Pauillac, Bordeaux
"The 2024 Pontet-Canet underlines the fact that daring to harvest late paid dividends in this challenging vintage, wafting from the glass with aromas of cassis, black raspberries and plums mingled with accents of rose petals, licorice and exotic spices. Medium to full-bodied, deep and integrated, with mid-palate density that's all too rare this year, it's layered, suave and seamless, concluding with a long, sapid finish. Picking began on September 26 and concluded on October 11, with the heart of the estate's old-vine Cabernet Sauvignon coming in between the seventh and the ninth, well after many châteaux had finished their harvest. Greater reactivity during the season means that Pontet-Canet's vineyards are gaining in vigor, while in the winery, a lighter touch with extraction, systematic climate control and a wholesale refinement of the estate's cooperage choices have brought new harmony and sensuality to this estate's wines. That has combined with a willingness to take risks with harvest dates to deliver what is clearly one of the wines of the vintage. The blend is roughly half Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with the balance Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc." 94-96, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2025
“Vibrant ruby in colour with Violet edging, this is beautifully measured, with a careful release of black fruits. Puts the focus on the floral side of Cabernet Sauvignon, with rose petals, chamomile, fragrant tomato leaf and lilac. There is austerity on the opening, with tight architecture, but as it opens juice begins to flow through the pumice and slate-textured tannins, and this delivers a finessed, slim-style of Pauillac, with plenty of ageing potential and quiet confidence. One of the successes of the vintage. Harvest September 26 through to October 11. 3.8ph, 50% new oak, 35% concrete amphoras. Tasted twice.” 94, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux, Apr 2025

Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst 2021, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Helena, California
“The second wine of this incredible estate, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst reveals a deep purple hue as well as a great nose of assorted currants, black cherries, tobacco, and lead pencil. It's beautifully concentrated, has medium to full-bodied richness, and ripe tannins, all making for an undeniably delicious, classic, balanced Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the coming 10-15 years.” 94, Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2023
“A juicy red with black currants and balsamic. Bark and mushroom. Iodine, too. Medium body, creamy texture that tightens at the end. An energy and firmness in the finish but remains so attractive. Savory. Hard not to drink now. So do, but will also age nicely.” 94, James Suckling, Nov 2023
“The non-estate 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst, like the estate bottling, is scheduled for release in September 2024. Including all five Bordeaux varieties and matured in 40% new French oak, it boasts classic scents of cassis, black cherries and some gentle cedary notes. It's medium to full-bodied, gently velvety but still firm, with a long, cool finish. It's more than $100 these days, but it still delivers a high-quality drinking experience.” 93, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Jul 2024

Montepeloso Gabbro IGT 2022, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Toscana IGT, Tuscany
“The 2022 Gabbro, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, is fabulous. In fact, it’s one of the finest versions of this wine I have tasted. More than anything, the 2022 suggests that the Tuscan Coast can produce wines of elegance and polish, even in torridly warm years, and even in its warmest micro-climates, if desired. Blue/black fruit, leather, lavender, espresso and dried herbs abound. The 2022 is beautiful today. I expect it will be even better in a few years’ time. It's an eye-opening wine, to be sure.” 96, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2024

Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford, California
"This shows notes of ripe blackberries and blackcurrants with hints of licorice, cloves, walnuts and chocolate. It has full body and a velvety tannin structure. Juicy and vibrant fruit on the palate with a touch of earthiness. Smooth and delicious. Long, fruity finish. Very pure fruit." 95, James Suckling, Jan 2022
“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most potent wines I have tasted from Inglenook in a long time. Readers should be patient, as the 2019 is a mere infant. A rush of black cherry, mocha, licorice, spice and leather builds as this sumptuous, towering wine gradually opens with a bit of aeration. I would give the 2019 at least a few years in bottle, as the grippy tannins need time to soften.” 94, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Sep 2021
“Nicely weighted on the palate, this is full of dark fruits with menthol edges and lifted acidity. It's a full style, bold and powerful, with a delicious crunchy sweetness to the black cherry and blackcurrant fruit - everything's in place, fresh and lifted. After a few minutes mineral touches come through with fine tannins pushing the flavours to a long finish. Heady and evocative with harmony and refinement. Ageing 19 months in French oak (50% new).” 94, Georgina Hindle, Decanter, Jul 2022

Casa Lapostolle Clos Apalta 2021, 0.75L
Carmenere / Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon from Apalta, Colchagua Valley
“Extremely aromatic with red currants, blackcurrants, spices, iodine, paprika and subtle hints of white pepper. Fresh flowers, fresh sage, lavender and some pine needles and sandalwood. Medium-bodied with perfectly integrated tannins that go on for minutes with refined and harmonious fruit that integrates beautifully into the wine, giving it a weightless structure that shows class and verve. Endless balance and length. It’s so balanced that you could drink it now but it will age for decades. A blend of 75% carmenere, 18% cabernet sauvignon and 7% merlot.” 100, James Suckling, Feb 2024
“The 2021 Clos Apalta comprises 75% Carménère, with the remainder filled out by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, sourced from the eponymous Apalta Vineyard. It was aged for 24 months in oak barrels, two-thirds of which were new. This dark purple wine reveals nuanced aromas of graphite, herbs, dried plums and blackberry marmalade, complemented by mint, boldo and garrigue-like notes over a green bell pepper layer. Plush and ample on the palate, it is lifted by a mild refreshing quality that adds a rare nimbleness to its flow. This long-lasting red is a serious wine, less influenced by Michel Rolland's style than in other years, as the fresh vintage imparted a lighter, less ripe and more expressive character. Clos Apalta is one of those rare Chilean wines that reliably showcases the characteristics of each vintage while maintaining a consistent house style. That steadiness is a boon for consumers, as it allows them to appreciate the impact of different vintages, which is a significant part of the allure of high-quality wines.” 98, Joaquin Hidalgo, Vinous, Jul 2024

BV Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Winemaker's Selection Rutherford 2020, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford, California
"Energizing tannins and vivid fruit acidity power the massive black fruits and intricate oak spices in this muscular but polished wine. Plump blackberries, baked blueberries, black currants and cedar all add to the compelling flavors. Built to improve and gain complexity with age, this wine should drink best from 2027–2037." 95, Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast, Dec 2023
“The Rutherford Reserve leads with black fruits, toffee and oak spices. Full-bodied with ripe sweet blackberry and black cherry notes, building tannins that are a bit granular. The wine has plenty of grip and is built on 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Petit Verdot, aged 21 months in 80% new French oak. It is nicely balanced with a pH of 3.64 and is one not easy to put down.” 94, Jonathan Cristaldi, Decanter, Jun 2023
“The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Reserve is packed with dark fruit, chocolate, grilled herbs, leather and incense. In 2020, winemaker Trevor Durling added 10% Petit Verdot to add body, a decision that paid off handsomely. This is a very fine wine for the year. Chocolaty tannins linger on the close.” 92, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2023

O'Shaughnessy Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2021, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California
“Blended from our three Estate vineyards in arguably the three best appellations within the Napa Valley: Howell Mountain, Mt. Veeder and Oakville. Howell Mountain gives us structure and ripe red fruit, while Mt. Veeder adds an extra punch of tannins along with savory mineral driven qualities, Oakville balances out the mountains with its silky texture and pure fruit. This Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby red with an opaque center. A sweet entry of milk chocolate and fresh caramel greets the nose. The palate is lush and rich with black cherry, plum, and blueberry. Fine-grained tannins are integrated seamlessly, making this an approachable wine with a long finish that can be enjoyed now or cellared for years to come.” Winery Notes

Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 2021, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Helena, California
“Pure black currants on the nose with an incredible al dente grape character. It’s almost like grape must. Undertone of ink and violets and sandalwood. Perfumed. Hints of spearmint. Full-bodied, but so well-formed and reserved. A touch of mint on the palate with dark fruits. It is very complete and reminds me of the classy Spottswoode 2001. I keep being impressed with the purity of fruit with the earthy undertones and stones. Savory. A fitting 40th anniversary wine. 90% cabernet sauvignon, 7% cabernet franc, and 3% petit verdot.” 99, James Suckling, Nov 2023
“Slated for a September 2024 release, Spottswoode's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon comes across as more vibrant, floral and fresh than the 2020. Violet and cassis notes are accented by hints of crushed stone and pencil shavings on the nose. Hugely complex yet harmonious, this medium-bodied effort is firm but silky in feel, with a long, elegant finish. Lovely stuff.” 98+, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Jul 2024
“The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a deep, dense purple color as well as a primordial nose of ripe black fruits, cassis, camphor, scorched earth, violet, and lead pencil aromas and flavors. Reminding me of a young Leoville Las Cases with its closed, dense, structured style, it's concentrated, has a pure, layered, focused style, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It needs 5-7 years of bottle age and will evolve for 30+ years. The blend of the 2021 is 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot.” 98+, Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2023

Cardinale 2021, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California
“The perfect 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon checks in as 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Merlot, all of which spent 22 months in 80% new French oak. The idea of this release is to showcase fruit from throughout the valley, and to say that winemaker Chris Carpenter succeeded would be an understatement. It boasts off-the-charts richness and depth as well as notes of cassis, toasted spices, graphite, tobacco, and espresso, with perfectly integrated oak. Inky purple-hued, full-bodied, voluptuously textured, and flawlessly balanced, it can be drunk any time over the coming 25 years or more.” 100, Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2023
“Lovely purple fruits with violets, lead pencil, mint, crushed stones, pine needles, resin, and ceramic. Medium to full body with ultra-fine tannins that show a silky beautiful texture. Blend of Stags Leap, Saint Helena, Yountville, and Atlas Peak plus all the mountain vineyards of Cardinale. A blend of 91% cabernet sauvignon and 9% merlot. 3,500 cases produced.” 99, James Suckling, Nov 2023
“In my tasting with winemaker Chris Carpenter, we talked at length about differentiating sub-appellations of Napa in the Lokoya wines. Still, with Cardinale, the Oakville-based crown jewel in the Jackson Family portfolio, the idea is the sum must be greater than the parts. This is not an estate wine. It is culled from multiple appellations, typically between three and nine, depending on the vintage. Sources have been Vine Hill Ranch and To Kalon in the past. The 2021 is 91% Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap, Rutherford, and St. Helena, with 9% Merlot from the 24ha Keyes Estate Vineyard on Howell Mountain, aged 22 months in 80% new French oak. Super savoury aromatics of black cherry, cedar, black liquorice, graphite, black tea, tobacco leaf, rose petal and sagebrush. Full-bodied with all those aromatic qualities making appearances on the full-bodied palate, framed by a soaring tannin profile that resolves with beautifully crisp and mouthwatering acidity, which is so impressive given the density of the wine. The acidity is so pure and cleansing it gives the sensation of fresh, crisp mountain water washing away the deeply robust and powerful tannins that frame this powerhouse wine, readying you for another sip.” 98, Jonathan Cristaldi, Jul 2024

Lokoya Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder 2021, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Mt. Veeder, California
“Insane aromas of black currants, crushed stones, violets, and sweet dark tobacco. Black truffle. Full-bodied with superb depth of fruit and plush and chewy tannins that give tension and length. It reminds me of the 1975 La Mission Haut Brion because of the stone, iodine and purple fruits. Love. Made from 100% cabernet sauvignon. 883 cases produced. Needs four or five years to come together.” 100, James Suckling, Nov 2023
“Since 1995, Lokoya has produced Cabernet from the Veeder Peak Estate at 548m on the western ridges of the Mayacamas Mountains. This is a do-not-open wine for until at least 2026. Full-bodied with palate-arresting tannins that are super-compact, long, and so densely pixelated they etch themselves into every nook and cranny on the palate. Only a minute later does your mouth find release as this thread of crunchy acidity begins to sweep away the powerful tannins to reveal the underlying blue fruit and violet aromatics that are so beautifully pure and youthful. Simply put, tuck it away for several years and then, if you can, explore bottles every few years until your stash runs out. In the low-yielding 2021 vintage, the skin-to-juice ratio is such that this may prove to be one of the longest-lived Lokoya wines yet, given the intensity of the tannin and the freshness of the underlying acidity. Chris Carpenter makes the Lokoya wines, and the label is owned by the Jackson Family. There are four 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the portfolio, each from a different mountain: Diamond Mountain, Howell Mountain, Spring Mountain, and Mt. Veeder. The winemaking is the same for all the wines, with mostly native yeast fermentation, pump-overs by hand, malolactic fermentation in barrel and ageing for 22 months in 90% new French oak. What separates these wines is not style but place. Carpenter believes that fine Napa Valley Cabernet wines are not only defined by the soils of their sites but also by the Bay Area Pacific breezes that roll in and out daily, cooling the valley from the south to the north in the evenings and from the north to the south in the mornings. These mountains define cooling as any place in the valley and the diurnal temperature shifts at higher elevations create an equilibrium where climatic fluctuations aren't as pronounced as fruit grown below the fog lines.” 99, Jonathan Cristaldi, Decanter, Jul 2024
“A massive, powerful, full-bodied beast of a wine that reminds me of a great vintage of Ch teau Latour with its structure and regal character, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder offers a beautiful bouquet of blackberries, wild cherries, iron, spring flowers, and wild scrub brush. It's concentrated, has massive extract and richness, no shortage of tannins, and a huge finish. It's not for the instant gratification crowd and needs 7-8 years of bottle age, but it will see its 30th birthday in fine form.” 98+, Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2023

Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley 2020, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley, California
The 2020 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has captivating notes of cedar and concentrated red fruit character that dances gracefully on the palate. With its ruby hue and smooth, polished tannins, this wine offers a harmonious blend of depth and nuance. Balanced acidity adds a refined touch to the long finish, with vibrant layers of fresh raspberry, cherry and cola. This wine will continue to improve through 2042 given proper cellaring conditions.
Our 2020 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is comprised of 95.2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.1% Merlot, 1.4% Cabernet Franc, 0.7% Petit Verdot and 0.6% Malbec. After blending in early 2021, our 2020 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was transferred to American oak barrels from our cooperage, The Oak, where it aged for 24 months. Blending before barrel aging—a signature of our winemaking style—allows blends to be based on the inherent qualities of their vineyard components before oak influence. Vintage to vintage, the resulting Cabernets emerge integrated and ready to drink upon release.

La Jota Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain 2021, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain, California
“Another incredibly concentrated, focused, insanely impressive wine in the lineup is the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain, which offers a powerful nose of darker currants, scorched earth, graphite, and savory herb aromas and flavors. This full-bodied, dense, concentrated, powerful, inward beauty needs 4-6 years in the cellar but will age forever.” 98, Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2023
“A blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6.5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec, 4% Merlot and 2.5% Petit Verdot, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain delivers scents of cedar, pine, black cherries, blueberries and cassis. According to winemaker Chris Carpenter, the blend was necessary to ameliorate the tannins for the restaurant trade, a major market for the wine. It's medium to full-bodied, fresh, smooth and silky on the mid-palate, then firmer and more structured, with dusty tannins on the lingering finish. While it should age well for 20 years or more, I suspect much of it will be consumed on the young side, with a thick, well-marbled steak.” 95, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Jul 2024

Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto 2022, 0.75L

"Made with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Tenuta San Guido 2022 Guidalberto gives you a good taste of the same DNA that brings us one of Italy's greatest wines, Sassicaia, but it's offered in a more immediate style here (thanks to the addition of the Merlot). This warm vintage opens to medium-dark concentration and very plump aromas that take you immediately to blackberry and blackcurrant sitting out in the sun at your local farmers market. “A beguiling blend of dusty violets, crushed stone, musky black currants and grilled herbs makes the 2020 Estate Cuvée impossible to ignore. Racy yet supple, this soothes with its ripe red and black fruits while also exciting the palate through a core of zesty acidity. A staining of minerality lingers as the 2020 finishes with epic length and potency. Grippy tannins tug at the perimeters of the palate, leaving nuances of black licorice and clove to resonate. Philip Togni Cabernet Sauvignon Tanbark Hill 2021, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Spring Mountain District, California
"Tasted with Lisa and Philip Togni in their winery atop Spring Mountain in February of 2024. The Tanbark Hill was bottled in June of 2023. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged up to 20 months. The tannins are quite assertive at this young stage, in classic Spring Mountain Togni fashion, with a fine granularity about them. The wine feels quite complete, teeming with pure dark berry fruits and very fresh. Deeply mineral-tinged dark berries and black currants are framed by a wine with noticeable coiled-up energy and tension. It’s mostly mouthfeel at this stage and will soften with a few more years." 95, Jonathan Cristaldi, Decanter, Feb 2024
“The medium to full-bodied 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Tanbark Hill Vineyard delivers complex notes of mountain fruit, with hints of sage and bay leaf accenting cassis, blueberries and raspberries. In the mouth, it's firmly buttressed by grainy tannins, with terrific acids that linger on the finish in mouthwatering fashion. This, Togni's "early-drinking" wine, should age two decades with ease.” 93, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Jul 2024
“The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Tanbark Hill Vineyard is one of the most potent vintages of this wine I can remember tasting. Dense and textured, the 2021 shows ample dark fruit and complex earthy/savory undertones that add balance. The 2021 benefits from the addition of some excess fruit that would have been used in the main label but that, for practical purposes, ended up in the tanks for the Tanbark Hill. Readers will find a wine of breadth, power and character. In this vintage, the Tanbark Hill gives a very good idea of the quality and style of the Grand Vin. “ 93, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2023

Opus One 'Overture' 2021, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot from Napa Valley, California
"Vivid cherry red, medium intensity, pared back and moreish. Enticing charred plum and spiced black cherry, restrained and savoury, chalky tannins, good lift through the palate without losing the creaminess of the fruit, a dusting of cocoa powder adds a gourmet twist. 65% new oak for ageing. 2021 was a very dry vintage (2nd driest in history of Opus) but there were few extremes of temperature, and this is a delicious Overture. First one with a vintage on the label, after a few years of slowly moving that way. Impressive, easy to recommend". 93, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux, Aug 2024

Philip Togni Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 2021, 1.5L
Cabernet Sauvginon from Spring Mountain District, California
"Tasted with Lisa and Philip Togni in their winery atop Spring Mountain in February of 2024. An absolutely riveting Cabernet showing a deep ruby-purple colour. Gorgeously fragrant at the cork's pull with terrific violets and loads of black currants and dark dried herbs. Medium to full-bodied with chiselled, precise tannins that build and build on the palate. At this early stage, the wine is full of ripe blackberry and black currant fruits that harbour impressive clarity of flavours, growing even more expressive with beautiful sagebrush nuances. Philipp Togni remarked that this vintage reminds him of St. Julien. Indeed, it is incredibly aromatic, elegant, and structured, and it is also a complete and seamless wine. 82% Cabernet Sauvignon is joined by 15% Merlot, 2% Cabernet France, and 1% Petit Verdot". 100, Jonathan Cristaldi, Decanter, Feb 2024
“The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is an outrageously beautiful wine and also one of the wines of the year. A soaring, exotic bouquet makes a strong opening statement. Pliant and creamy, with mind-blowing textural finesse, the 2021 dazzles from start to finish. Hard candy, mint, lavender, Kirsch and spice linger on the close. The 2021 possesses mind-blowing purity and exceptional finesse. (Drink between 2031-2051)”. 99, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2023
“The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 15% Merlot and traces of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it bursts from the glass with bold notions of blackcurrant jelly, juicy black plums, and wild blueberries followed by hints of crushed rocks, cardamom, licorice, and tar plus a fragrant touch of violets. The medium-bodied palate is tightly wound with black fruit and mineral layers, framed by firm, ripe, grainy tannins and wonderful tension, finishing long with loads of ferrous and earthy sparks”. 97, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Independent, Jun 2024
“Shows lovely range and good energy, with an old-school tilt to the savory, bay and tobacco notes that lead the way for a core of gently mulled red currant and black cherry fruit. There's a leathery strap of grip on the finish, plus a flicker of cedar. This is sneakily long and should age gracefully. Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Drink now through 2042”. 95, James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, Oct 2024

Tenuta San Guido Le Difese 2022, 0.75L
Sangiovese / Cabernet Sauvignon from Tuscany, Tuscany
“The 2022 Le Difese is plump, juicy and expressive, all of which make it a fine choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Crushed flowers, succulent red cherry fruit, mint, spice and blood orange all race across the palate. This exuberant yet mid-weight coastal Tuscan red is a total pleasure bomb. The 2022 is an especially fine edition. It benefits from a warm year - which can be a positive for entry-level wines - earlier bottling and selection. Le Difese is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (both estate and non-estate sites) and Sangiovese, all purchased.” 92, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2024

Continuum Proprietary Red Sage Mountain Vineyard 2021, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Petit Verdot / Merlot from Napa Valley, California
"Deep purple-black in color, it hits the ground running with an intense nose of red and black currant preserves, lilacs, baker's chocolate, and graphite, leading to an undercurrant of black olives and red loam. On the medium to full-bodied palate it is very lively, grainy and super-concentrated, finishing long and shimmery.” 98-100, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, The Wine Independent
“This is so aromatic with blackcurrant, blackberry, graphite, iron, pine bark and orange peel. Hints of wild sage and peppermint. Seductive perfumes. Full-bodied with extremely well-integrated tannins that have great length. Elegant firmness at the finish. The quality of the tannins is some of the best I have had in a young Continuum. Di Costanzo Farella Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville, California
“Here in its third vintage, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard is just starting to come into its own, with pretty notes of red cherry, pomegranate, rose petal and licorice. The aromatics show the first signs of maturity, yet bright acids and pure fruit suggest another decade or so of fine drinking lies ahead. This is a pretty effort from Erin and Massimo Di Costanzo's early days. (Drink between 2022-2032).” 93, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2024

Maculan Palazzotto Cabernet Sauvignon 2020, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Breganze, Veneto
“The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Palazzotto tempts the imagination with a darkly floral bouquet that mixes rich black cherry sauce with graphite, sage and shavings of pine. Silky smooth and supple, this finds a lovely balance through a core of tart red and black fruits and crunchy mineral tones that ride a wave of tantalizing acidity. A web of fine tannins descends on the palate as the 2020 finishes long and lightly structured, leaving a peppery herbal thrust that lingers on. This classy Cabernet Sauvignon is impossible to ignore and should drink beautifully after two to three years in the cellar.” 93, Eric Guido, Vinous, Dec 2023

Abadia Retuerta Seleccion Especial 2018, 0.75L
