Weinbach Riesling Cuvee Colette Alsace 2021, 0.75L
Riesling from Alsace, Alsace

“Stunning nose of yellow peach, pomelo and fresh pineapple that pulls you into this simultaneously ripe and vibrant dry Riesling. The ripe citrus flavors run right through the palate into the long finish that’s so uplifting it makes you feel good to be alive. So polished and precise. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.” 95, Stuart Pigott, JamesSuckling.com, Apr 2023

The 2021 Riesling Cuvée Colette is from the Bonnes Terres lieu-dit just underneath the Schlossberg, on granite. The vines are between 50 and 60 years old, rooting in deeper topsoil, so there never is hydric stress. The nose is shy, allowing only an occasional flicker of citrus, but the palate comes in with lovely focus and citric verve. Lemon zest and pith frame the juicy, light bodied flow. Lovely, light and super-refreshing. The long lemon finish is totally mouth-watering. (Bone-dry)” 92, Anne Krebiehl MW, Vinous Jan 2023

Le Petit Cheval Blanc 2021, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc / Sémillon from Bordeaux, Bordeaux

"The 2021 Château Cheval Blanc Petit Cheval Blanc is gorgeous and comes from a parcel just to the west of the château. A blend of 83% Sauvignon and 17% Sémillon brought up in 50% new wood, it has a killer nose of crushed citrus, orange blossom, and chalky minerality to go with a medium-bodied, vibrant, racy, yet beautifully concentrated and textured style on the palate. I love its overall balance, it has remarkable purity, and I suspect it will provide over a decade of prime drinking." 95 Jeb Dunnuck

"The 2021 Le Petit Cheval (Blanc) is fabulous. Silky and intensely aromatic, with tons of Sauvignon Blanc character, the 2021 is all raciness. Pear, slate, mint, crushed rocks, lime and white pepper abound, all framed by brisk acids and gorgeous saline undertones. The 2021 is 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon. It aged for 22 months, mostly in foudres and wood uprights. What a wine." 94 Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 'La Forest' 1er Cru 2021, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy

“Top Quality Producer! of the Dauvissat specialities, the La Forest is a triumph in 2021. From seven small parcels, the total site is less than 1ha with average vine age more than 40 years. Intriguing, slightly smoky nose, highly distinctive and different to others in the range. Plenty of power, ripe stone fruit flavours, zesty citrus acidity with a herbaceous edge adding an extra dimension. Definitely of grand cru quality.” 95, Andy Howard, Decanter, Oct 2022

Château de Plaisance Anjou Zerzilles 2021, 0.75L
Chenin Blanc from Anjou, Loire

“The 2021 Zerzilles is its usual powerful self, lying in wait like a lioness to pounce on her prey for her hungry lion cubs. It has a sudden spurt of power and energy striking through the palate. While light in body, it has innate power, masses of concentration and an electric charge of crackling acidity. This is a pup of a wine that's going to need time.” 95, Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous

Quinta de Muradella Alanda Blanco 2021, 0.75L
Doña Blanca / Treixadura / Godello from Monterrei, Galicia

"The 2021 Alanda Blanco is a village wine from Monterrei, a blend of Dona Blanca, Treixadura and Verdello that reflects the diversity of soils, altitudes and expositions. The varieties fermented together, being added to the vat progressively, and 1,500-liters matured in a used French oak foudre for 15 months and the rest was kept in stainless steel. It's pale, young and austere, more about soil and rocks than fruit, with notions of wet granite and dry flowers. It has contained ripeness, 13% alcohol, very good acidity, freshness and balance, with a sense of purity and transparency that is common to all whites here. It has depth, energy and light and extra vibrancy this year. It could very well be the finest white Alanda to date. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2023." 95, Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate, Nov 2023
