Robert Moncuit Les Chetillons Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc Extra Brut 2015, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Champagne
Robert Moncuit is a French family winery with over a century of history. It is located in Le Mesnil-sur-Auger, where Alex Monqui planted vines in 1889. The first cuvées of them were obtained by Robert, Alex's grandson, only in 1935. Since then, the estate has been producing exceptional sparkling wines that are famous all over the world. The volume of wines produced is limited and amounts to 60,000 liters per year. After the death of Robert Monqui in 1987, his children, Françoise and Pierre Amille, took over the management of the company. They create elite champagnes from grapes from an area of 8 hectares of the Grand Cru category, fully occupied by Chardonnay grapes. The vines are processed without the use of pesticides, the harvest is carried out manually, and each batch is vinified separately, after which the wines are collected in exclusive blends.

Robert Moncuit Les Vozemieux Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc Extra Brut 2013, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Champagne
"This barrel-fermented Blanc de Blancs is loaded with flavors of yellow plums, apricots, candied ginger, citrus rind, and brioche, and is bottled Extra Brut, though essentially as close to zero dosage as can be. Winemaker Pierre Amillet notes that "if you taste Chétillons next to Vozémieux. Vozémieux is more open, rounder, and more forward. Chétillons is leaner and the more direct of the two. The only difference between Chétillons and Vozémieux is soil and terroir. Even the age of the vines is similar. Vozémieux's exposition is due north so it matures later then Chétillons. Chétillons is southeast facing. The two parcels are only 500 meters apart."

Domaine Huet Vouvray Petillant Brut 2017, 0.75L
Chenin Blanc from Vouvray, Loire
"The 2017 Vouvray Pétillant Brut from Domaine Huët is a lovely bottle. The bouquet is bright and focused, wafting from the glass in a mix of quince, dried flowers, chalky soil tones, a hint of menthol and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, young and racy, with a fine core, good soil signature, a lovely spine of acidity and a long, well-balanced, complex and quite dry finish. This wine always ages brilliantly and the 2017 will be another long-distance runner, but it is certainly already quite tasty out of the blocks." 92 John Gilman, View From The Cellar

Domaine de la Taille aux Loups (Jacky Blot) Montlouis Pétillant Triple Zéro NV, 0.75L
Chenin Blanc from Montlouis, Loire
"A pétillant naturel from 40 to 80-year-old vines with zero capitalization, zero liqueur de tirage, and zero dosage. Aged 24 months on the lees. This is one of the better pet-nats I’ve tasted. Lemon and pineapple on the nose, with an underlying herbal character, and a long creamy finish." 94 Points Jason Wilson, Vinous

Von Winning Riesling Sekt Extra-Brut NV, 0.75L
Riesling from Pfalz, Pfalz
"I’ve never had much luck with German sparkling wines, often finding them overly tart and acidic. But Anne Krebiehl, author of “The Wines of Germany,” an excellent book published in 2019, believes the category has great potential, especially those sparklers made of riesling, like this one. Von Winning often ferments its wines in small oak barrels, unusual with riesling, and it wouldn’t surprise me if barrels were used for this sparkler. It’s toasty, creamy and substantial, yet dry, refreshing and balanced." Eric Asimov, New York Times
"100 % Riesling Grown on a selection of different vineyards in and around Deidesheim on chalky, loess-clay soils and red sandstone." Importer Notes, Skurnik Wines & Spirits

Weingut Robert Weil Riesling Sekt Brut 2018, 0.75L
Riesling from Rheingau, Rheingau
"The 2018 growing season was almost a full degree Celsius warmer than the warmest year in recent history (2003). The growth in the vineyards reflected this, with early budbreak and very early flowering. To ensure that our wines retained their cool-climate character, we started the harvest in mid-September. In the end we were thrilled not just with the residual sugar levels across the entire range, but also with the fine, elegant acidity and perfect physiological ripeness of the grapes that will express itself beautifully in these wines." Maximin Grunhaus Riesling Sekt Brut 2018 2018, 0.75L
Riesling from Mertesdorf, Ruwer
"The vintage 2018 began with a perfect flowering at Maximin Grünhaus. We had no frost or hail damage on the whole property. Due to the hot summer, our harvest began quite early, but thanks to our unique location we harvested beautiful and perfectly ripe Riesling grapes with outstanding acidity levels. The whole harvest in our three grand crus was one big party. The whole team was nothing but smiling faces during this time." Producer Notes, Maxin Grunhaus
