Montlandrie 2018, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc from Côtes de Bordeaux Castillon, Bordeaux

"Produced by Denis Durantou of Château L’Eglise Clinet, the 2018 Montlandrie is a blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon with 14.5% alcohol and is currently aging in 40% new oak. Deep purple-black in color, it features fragrant notes of lilacs, Morello cherries and blueberry compote over a core of plum preserves and woodsmoke plus a waft of underbrush. The medium to full-bodied palate is richly fruited with black and blue fruits, lifted by earthy accents and lovely freshness, finishing long and velvety textured." 92-94 Points Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate

Benjamin Leroux Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 2020, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Nuits St. Georges, Burgundy

"Background hints of wood and menthol are present on the super-spicy aromas of black cherry, raspberry and a plenitude of floral wisps. The sleek, intense and very rich medium weight plus flavors possess a caressing mouthfeel that possess notably better punch on the youthfully austere, balanced and impressively persistent finale. This is sufficiently compact that it's going to need at least a few years of keeping first." 92-94 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound

Caroline Morey Chassagne Montrachet Les Chaumees 2020, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne Montrachet, Burgundy

"Usual mid colour. Very attractive nose with just the right element of toast, this has real class and very good balance. Very sensual with the thread of acidity running all the way through. Really very good indeed. Lovely balanced finish." 95 Jasper Morris MW, InsideBurgundy.com

Jean et Sébastien Dauvissat Chablis Les Preuses 2018, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy

"The 2018 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru brings together all the best elements of the house style. Brisk and inviting with terrific energy, the Preuses has so much to offer. Like the Vaillons Vieilles Vignes, the Preuses was vinified in wood, and yet it shows better oak integration and a greater sense of completeness. A kick of Preuses mineral and floral notes punctuate the finish."92-94 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous

There is very good Chablis character to the aromas of petrol, quinine, tidal pool and various white-fleshed fruit scents that are trimmed in noticeable if discreet wood toast. The oak influence can be discerned on the palate as well as the firm, serious and youthfully austere finale. 91-93 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound

Jean-Paul et Benoit Droin Chablis Valmur 2021, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy

"From recently replanted vines totaling 1.04 ha; aged in 50% wood but only a small percentage is new. Once again moderate wood is present on the spicy aromas of green fruit and oyster shell-inflected nose. The rich, powerful and broad-shouldered flavors possess a borderline creamy mid-palate texture while exhibiting outstanding length on the sappy and saline finish. Very promising." 92-94 Allen Meadows, Burghound.com

"The 2021 Chablis Valmur Grand Cru offers more intensity and precision than the Vaudésir, the wood giving weight but beautifully assimilated, shucked oyster shells emerging. The palate is well balanced with a slightly honeyed opening, notes of lemon curd and orange pith, building nicely in the mouth towards a suave and lightly spiced finish. Superb." 92-94 Neal Martin, Vinous

"From a site of just over 1ha, Valmur is a colder site giving, as Droin says, a more masculine. Cool, closed on the nose, this will need a lot of time to open up. Oak is a little more apparent here, with very precise acidity. Very linear at the minute, a grand cru with a nose of white flowers, and a palate of great purity. This will need three to four years to open and will be hitting its stride in seven to eight." 93 Andy Howard MW, Decanter Magazine

"Pale lemon colour. An excellent bouquet, though as usual it is hard to know exactly where to place Valmur, some ripe apples, pears and the start of plums, rich and dense, with some marine notes at the back reminding us it is Chablis." 91-94 Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy

Pierre Yves Colin Morey Chassagne Montrachet Abbaye de Morgeot 2020, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne Montrachet, Burgundy

"The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Abbaye de Morgeot unfurls in the glass with notes of pear, honeycomb, white flowers, freshly baked bread, ripe cantaloupe melon and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's elegantly muscular, with a deep core of fruit, racy acids and a long, chalky finish." 92-94 points, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2022

Dominio de Pingus Ribera del Duero PSI 2020, 0.75L
Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, Castilla y León

"The unbottled sample of the 2020 PSI feels young, juicy, very fruit-driven and clean. 2020 was an unusual vintage, first of all because of COVID-19, but it was a year with lots of light, plenty of flowers and a beautiful spring. They were able to harvest quite early and finished two days before the abundant rains (except in Soria, which is a different story) that started on the 20th of September. In Ribera, there will be two different harvests: the wines before the rain and those from after. So, this is very healthy, aromatic and floral, with a spark of freshness but also ripe and round. It's going to be a crowd-pleaser. It has a bright ruby color, with some 10% Garnacha. It somehow has less Tempranillo character. Volumes are similar to 2019, with around 350,000 bottles that they expect to bottle around June 2022." 92-94 Points, Luis Guiterrez, Wine Advocate

Scar of the Sea Vino de los Ranchos Chardonnay 2020, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Santa Maria Valley, California

"The 2020 Chardonnay Vino de los Ranchos is a new cuvée from Scar of the Sea, from own-rooted vines planted in 1973 near Bien Nacido vineyard. Still in barrel on the lees, the first sneak peek is promising. The nose offers singular aromas of panna cotta, Greek yogurt and yellow orchard fruits, and the palate is rounded and savory with a juicy bite of acidity and a creamy finish. This is due to be bottled in February of 2022." 92-94 Points, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate
