Bachelet-Monnot Chassagne-Montrachet 2021, 0.75L
Chardonnay from Chassagne Montrachet, Burgundy

"Pungent aromas of resin, petrol and reduction precede bigger-bodied and solidly concentrated flavors that deliver better depth and length on the equally rustic finale that is sufficiently structured to suggest that 5 to 8 years of keeping should be beneficial." 88-91 Allen Meadows, Burghound

Hourglass Merlot Estate Blueline 2014, 0.75L
Merlot from Calistoga, California

"More hedonistic and plush than the Cabernet Franc, the 2014 Merlot Blueline Estate offers classic chocolaty dark fruits, damp earth, violets and hints of cedar on the nose. With beautiful purity of fruit, a soft, forward, sumptuous style, no hard edges and a great finish, this downright sexy Merlot will be a killer crowd pleaser ..." 92 Jeb Dunnuck

"The 2014 Merlot Blueline has turned out nicely. A bit more reticent than it was last year, the 2014 offers pretty aromatic nuance in its scents of tobacco, savory herbs and spice. Dollops of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec add complexity throughout. This is an unusually subtle, nuanced Merlot long on class and personality." 91-94 Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Claude Dugat Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru 2021, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Gevrey Chambertin, Burgundy

"The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru, the usual blend of Crapiots and Perrières, has a beautifully defined bouquet with dark cherries, bergamot and wild hedgerow, very focused and classy. The palate is medium-bodied with a powdery texture, just a very small reduction at play, though that does not disguise the structure and substance on the finish. Wonderful. The medium-bodied palate is supple on the entry, extremely well balanced, surprisingly spicy with a finish that fans out wonderfully. Simply, one of the best Gevrey Villages you will find in 2021. Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 2018, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford, California

"The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is packed with inky dark fruit, chocolate, spice, new leather and licorice. Racy and voluptuous to the core, the 2018 is very easy to enjoy today. It will be even better in a few years' time, once the aromatics open a bit more. It's great to see the 2018 has the same mid-palate volume it had as a barrel sample, prior to bottling. This is a terrific showing."

Domaine Huet Vouvray Le Mont Moelleux 2020, 0.75L
Chenin Blanc from Vouvray, Loire

"There are many shouty wines in the world, but the 2020 Le Mont Moelleux is understated, which is highly attractive. There's finesse and elegance to this sweeter style (49g/L). Delicate exotic characters such as dried papaya and pineapple sit alongside floral notes. While there's excellent concentration, this remains delicate. The finish is appetizing thanks to fine acidity and phenolic structure, which hold the mouth reassuringly on the finish. An excellent wine that offers real drinkability in youth thanks to its appealing primary fruit, but there's no hurry at all to drink. A smidgen more length would take it into even higher realms (although, let's be fair, it's not far off as good as it gets). (Drink between 2021-2035)" 96 Rebecca Gibb, Vinous.com

"The 2020 Vouvray Le Mont Moelleux offers a deep, complex and concentrated bouquet of highly ripe and candied fruits yet with this coolish shimmering lime zest probably coming from the pebbly silex and deep green clay soil of this nine-hectare "grand cru." Full-bodied, rich and round on the palate, this is a dense, viscous, mouth-filling, lush and mellow yet also tight and piquant Le Mont whose complexity is lifted by dramatic drive and tension and carried to a long and salivating finish by lingering salinity. You can never go wrong in buying a Le Mont and in particular this one. This is a great effort from a very particular vintage that forced the harvest team to make the strictest selections. It was well worth the effort." 96 Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate

Bodegas Antidoto Ribera del Duero 2021, 0.75L
Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, Castilla y León

"The eponymous red 2021 Antídoto comes from a myriad of plots ranging between 30 and 100 years of age in the Soria part of Ribera del Duero at some 950 meters in altitude on stone, limestone sand and clay soils. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for nine months in 600-liter French oak barrels, only 5% of them new. It's creamy, velvety and juicy, with 14.57% alcohol and good freshness and acidity. With time in the glass, it develops more complexity and is herbal, meaty and floral, with very fine, chalky tannins. It feels young and lively but approachable. Great value too." 92 Luis Guiterrez, Wine Advocate

Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Riserva Ovello 2017, 0.75L
Nebbiolo from Barbaresco, Piedmont

"All of the Riservas in this vintage are characterized by especially exuberant and bold aromas, and this bottle is a prime example. Cassis, wild cherry, tobacco, rusty nail and licorice build intensity. The wine is tapered and silky in texture, but it also offers a good amount of power".

Philipponnat Brut Cuvee 1522 2016, 0.75L
Pinot Noir / Chardonnay from Champagne, Champagne

94 The Wine Independent

"The 2016 Philipponnat Cuvée 1522 is crafted this year from a blend of 70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay. Most of the pinot noir in this bottling hails from their historic vineyard of Le Léon in Aÿ, augmented by some additional fruit from the grand cru village of Verzy. All of the chardonnay comes from Mesnil-sur-Oger this year. A portion of the vins clairs for the Cuvée 1522 in 2016 were barrel-fermented and did not go through malolactic. The wine spent six years aging sur latte and was finished with a dosage of 4.25 grams per liter after disgorgement. It offers up a beautiful bouquet of apple, white peach, complex chalky soil tones, pâtissière, white flowers, a whisper of buttery oak and a touch of citrus zest in the upper register. On the palate the wine is bright, crisp and full-bodied, with a lovely core of fruit, excellent complexity and mineral undertow, refined mousse and a long, focused and seamlessly balanced, vibrant finish. This is a beautiful bottle of Champagne that is just starting to drink well and will be even better a decade down the road." 93+ John Gilman, View From The Cellar

Jean Foillard Morgon Les Charmes Eponym 2021, 0.75L
Gamay from Morgon, Beaujolais

"Foillard's Morgon Eponym comes from the Charmes lieu-dit, one of the highest parcels in the appellation. In contrast to the grandiose, deeply structured Côte du Py and silky-smooth Corcelette, this cuvée features a bit more crunch with lots of bright acidity and a leaner, more mineral profile. It nonetheless shares the satin texture of all Foillard Morgons, and should age similarly well for those willing and able to wait." Importer Notes

Jean Foillard Morgon Cuvée Corcelette 2021, 0.75L
Gamay from Morgon, Beaujolais

“The 2021 Morgon Cuvée Corcelette comes from vines averaging 50-years in age, this vineyard suffering less reduction in volume than others due to the sandy soils. It is aged in used barrels for around 9 months. It has a quite compelling and complex bouquet, with raspberry and wild strawberry, rose petal and light chalky scents. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, finely chiseled and lending tension. The acidity keeps this taut, focused, and quite minerally …. Bon vin. One of the original ‘Gang of Four’ disciples, Foillard is rightly esteemed as one of the leading Beaujolais producers, which is not reflected in market prices. Few wines represent better value than this. I have visited the Domaine several times over the years. On this occasion, I met with Fanny Bellenger, who works with Jean’s son Alex Foillard, to taste recent releases and take a quick tour of the winery. Unfortunately, due to the growing season in 2021, volumes are down 30%. The two 2020s I tasted from Alex Foillard are promising, especially the Brouilly that, when juxtaposing the two appellations, has more harmony and complexity than the Côte de Brouilly. The standout from Jean Foillard is the Morgon Côte du Py, though readers should not overlook the Fleurie despite the vines suffering grillure in recent years.” 91 Neal Martin, Vinous.com, May 2023

Jean Foillard Fleurie 2021, 0.75L
Gamay from Fleurie, Beaujolais

"From vines that are 20-70 years old. A shy nose reluctantly offers up its aromas of mostly red berry fruit that is cut with floral and earth wisps. The sleek and attractively textured middleweight flavors possess adequate density while preserving good delineation that carries over to the youthfully austere, focused and balanced finish." 92 Allen Meadows, Burghound

Hippolyte Reverdy Sancerre 2022, 0.75L
Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre, Loire

."Does it get more classic than this? Like Chablis and Muscadet, Sancerre is a quintessential white wine appellation of France, beloved for its famous Kimmeridgian limestone and crisp blancs that sing at apéro hour. This AOC also happens to be home to half a dozen vignerons named Reverdy. Domaine Hippolyte Reverdy, a family farm that has been making wine for many generations—since the 1600s—is our favorite, producing Sancerres with trademark notes of fresh spring flowers and a zesty, mineral finish.
Since Kermit began to work with Hippolyte, the first Reverdy in this family to bottle, in the 1980s, the wines have been consistently excellent. The current generation, Julie Guiard—Hippolyte’s granddaughter—is as much a humble farmer as any of her ancestors, foregoing vacation and travel to make sure everything is in exactly the right place in her vines and cellar. Join me in opening a bottle of this charming Sancerre that represents what we love most about tradition in French winemaking."  Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant

Domaine de Fontsainte Gris de Gris Rosé 2022, 0.75L
Grenache Gris / Carignan / Mourvèdre from Corbières, Languedoc Roussillon

“The 2022 Rosé Gris de Gris is pale pink in the glass. Its bouquet showcases sweet melon, rose and confectionary spice aromas. The 2022 is round with a pretty inner sweetness and juicy acidity to balance. Ripe strawberry and citrus nuances linger well into the crisply refreshing finale.” 91 Vinous, Vinous.com, May 2023

"A crystalline salmon color with superb amethyst tints. Expressive and particularly tonic, the wine immediately gives off notes of raspberry, cherry and freshly picked strawberries - followed by exotic aromas such as pineapple and mango. A direct and considerable freshness - the density and richness of the fruit mingle with the superb acid vitality giving a wine with a frisson and a magnificent persistency. Stunningly balanced, this is an extremely appetent wine!" - Importer Notes

Joseph Roty Marsannay Les Ouzeloy 2020, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Marsannay, Burgundy

"To my palate, the Ouzeloy bottling is always one of the most refined of the fine lineup chez Roty and this is again the case in 2020. The wine offers up an aromatic constellation of cassis, black cherries, smoked meats, dark soil tones, a touch of chocolate and cedary oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite svelte for a 2020 red, with a lovely core of black fruit, fine soil signature, buried tannins and a long, complex and nicely balanced finish. Though this has a quite polished profile, it is also a properly structured wine and I would not be tempted to open a bottle until it has had a good decade in the cellar. " 91 John Gilman, Dec 2022

The 2020 Marsannay Les Ouzeloy is showing very well, bursting with notes of dark berries and plums mingled with licorice and spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, with good concentration and powdery structuring tannins, it's built for the cellar. 91 William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2023

"The 2020 Marsannay Les Ouzeloy has a tight-knit nose with blueberry and boysenberry fruit that retain fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet, figgy entry, perhaps quite Tuscan in style with good length on the finish. Fine." 91 Neal Martin, Vinous.com, Nov 2022

Joseph Roty Charmes-Chambertin Cuvée de Très Vieilles Vignes 2017, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Gevrey Chambertin, Burgundy

"The 2017 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Très Vieilles Vignes has turned out even better than I anticipated, unfurling in the glass with a magical bouquet of cassis, plums and blackberries mingled with dark chocolate, spices, sweet soil tones, licorice and black truffle. Full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, it's extraordinarily sumptuous and concentrated, framed by velvety tannins that caress the palate, and underpinned by lively acids, concluding with a long and expansive finish. Pierre-Jean Roty compares it to the 2012 and 2009 renditions, which readers who follow this domaine will know is high praise indeed." 96 William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Feb 2020

"The 2017 Charmes-Chambertin Très Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a backward, primal bouquet of dense red berry fruit, scents of briar and wild hedgerow and wilted rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Fresh and focused. showing a touch of blood orange and quince toward the detailed yet surprisingly muscular finish. This has a long future ahead. Excellent." 95 Neal Martin, Vinous, Vinous.com, Jan 2020

"A cool, elegant and restrained nose flashes an array of various red fruit scents that include cherry, raspberry and a hint of pomegranate, along with soft earth, spice and discreet wood nuances. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the delicious, intense and well-detailed medium weight flavors that deliver fine depth and persistence on the well-balanced and firmer finish. Unusually for this wine, it's not as dense as the Griotte though it's perhaps a bit more refined than usual." 94 Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Jan 2020

Cabreo Toscana Il Borgo 2018, 0.75L
Sangiovese / Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot from Tuscany, Tuscany

"This is a very pretty, with currant, cherry and some mahogany and cigar-box character. It’s medium-to full-bodied with tight, linear tannins that are long and very intense. Polished nicely. Hard not to drink now, but better in 2024 and onwards." 94 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com

"A blend of equal parts Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the 2018 Il Borgo is a renewed wine with this vintage. Past editions saw a blend of mostly Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon in a supporting role. This release is softer on the mid-palate with darkly extracted fruit. The wine reveals dark cherry, spice and hints of bittersweet chocolate that give it a very contemporary, accessible personality. Fruit is sourced from across 40 hectares of vine." 92 Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Feb 2023

Paul Hobbs West Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2021, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast, California

"The 2021 Pinot Noir (West Sonoma Coast), a new wine in this range, is lights out. Rich, ample and bold, the 2021 races across palate with layers of purplish fruit, lavender, spice, menthol, licorice and spice. A dollop of stems adds nuance, but without dominating the overall balance. There's terrific acidity and structure to play off the natural fruit richness that is such a distinctive attribute of the best sites in the appellation." 96 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com, Dec 2022

Paul Hobbs Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2021, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley, California

"The 2021 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley) is dense, heady and explosive. Russian River exuberance comes through, but amplified in all of the good ways and none of the bad. Even with all of the richness and intensity, the 2021 retains good freshness as well as energy. A touch of whole clusters brightens the finish nicely. Paul Hobbs’ 2021 Pinots are sensational. I tasted the wines twice, several months apart, and was blown away both times. It’s not an understatement to say everything has changed here in recent years. In the field, the focus has shifted towards cooler sites and leaving more leaf cover, while fruit is picked a bit earlier than in the past. Vinifications are much gentler, and the oak imprint, once such a signature here, has been lessened. The result is a set of Pinots that scream with purity of fruit and the essence of site. This level of quality can’t be achieved by a single person but is very clearly the work of an entire team. Bravo.” 95 Antonio Galloni, Vonious.com, Dec 2022

Emrich-Schonleber Monzinger Halenberg Riesling Trocken Großes Gewächs 2021, 0.75L
Riesling from Monzingen, Nahe

“The vibrant white-peach, wild-herb and floral bouquet of this stunning GG makes a serious statement. Very compact and concentrated, it’s only just beginning to reveal its abundant treasures. Super-focused and precise, it grows and grows as it shoots over the palate at great speed. Incredible depth of wet-stone minerality at the super-long finish.” 98 Stuart Pigott, JamesSuckling.com

“The 2021 Halenberg Riesling GG is coolish, fresh, pure, extraordinarily deep and complex on the ripe and concentrated yet precise nose that reveals notes of crushed stones and iodine. Powerful, rich and complex on the palate, this is a full-bodied, dense and very intense Riesling with a concentrated fruit core and a firm (mineral) structure that holds and even uplifts this giant that a will develop into an iconic German Riesling over the years in the bottle. It is still tight and youthful but possibly the greatest Halenberg I have tasted in more than 20 years. Natural cork. 12.5% stated alcohol. Tasted at the Domaine in August 2022.” 97 Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Aug 2022

Emrich-Schonleber Monzinger Fruhlingsplatzchen Riesling Grosses Gewächs 2021, 0.75L
Riesling from Monzingen, Nahe

“Werner Schönleber served the 2021 Frühlingsplätzchen GG after the Halenberg, which has never been the case here in 20 years, but knowing Werner's passion for the purity and freshness of this terroir, this makes completely sense. I remember I liked the 2019 Frühlingsplätzchen better than the Halenberg when it was young, and also from the 2021 vintage I adore the purity, brightness and flinty finesse of the Frühlingsplätzchen which is definitely the brighter, uplifted and purer Riesling. The finish is enormously salty and savory and reveals lemon fruit bitters on the aftertaste. This is life from stone, and it has a damn serious, very long and saline finish. Natural cork. 12% stated alcohol. Tasted at the Domaine in August 2022.” 97 Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Aug 2022

Riesling from Dorsheim, Nahe

“The 2020 Goldloch GG is super clear, precise and coolish on the deep, intense and flinty nose. Dense and mineral on the pure and structured palate, this Dorsheim Riesling reveals perfectly ripe and elegant fruit with a finely structured and salty, grippy finish. Very well made and doubtlessly a great dry Riesling GG with no freaky features but everything we all like Riesling for. Juicy and salivating finish. Extremely well made. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2021.” 95 Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate Aug 2021

Zinfandel / Petite Sirah / Carignane / Mataro from Dry Creek Valley, California

"This has lots of horizontal tannins that provide fine muscle and form. It's medium- to full-bodied with freshness and brightness. Red berries, crushed cloves and other spices. Grapey, for a better word. Sophisticated. Chewy, Needs time to soften. Zinfandel with petite sirah and carignan. Hubert Lignier Chambolle-Musigny Les Chabiots 2020, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Gevrey Chambertin, Burgundy

"Reserved aromas of various dark berries, spice and a plethora of floral elements can be found on the ripe but airy nose. The wonderfully refined medium-bodied flavors possess very good concentration as well as good length on the youthfully austere and slightly lean but not angular finish. My projected range offers the benefit of the doubt that this will flesh out with time in bottle." 89-92 Allen Meadows, Burghound.com

Hubert Lignier Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes 2020, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Chambolle Musigny, Burgundy

“The holding is in the angle at the northern end of the vineyard, where Laurent has had a nice little wall in dry stone built. Dark black colour with light purple rim. As ever, this is much more Morey than Chambolle. Rich deep dark fruit with its typical savoury edge, dark raspberry notes, a little plum, flavours which reach far to the back of the palate. Succulent and savoury together and very persistent. 13.25%.” 92-95 Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

“The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes opens in the glass with aromas of cherries and red berries mingled with sweet spices, loamy soil and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, with fine concentration and a seamless, elegantly muscular profile, it's a fine success that's a worthy follow-up to the 2019 rendition. Laurent Lignier began his harvest on August 27, reporting below-average yields and finished alcohols between 13% and 14%. Once again, the result is a fine vintage for both his domaine holdings and négociant sources—the latter, amounting to some 3.5 hectares of vines, now clearly distinguished in our reviews. As readers will know, winemaking is pretty classical at this address, with a short cold maceration, two to three weeks' maceration with one pigéage and one rémontage per day and maturation in barrels, some one-third of which are new—if possible, without racking—for fully 22 months in the domaine's cold cellars. The 2020s are more primary and tightly wound than Lignier's 2019s, but they're similar in terms of ultimate quality and are well worth seeking out.” 92-94 Williamm Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2022

"This too is aromatically restrained but more perfumed on the notes of dark cherry, cassis and violet. The caressing, plump and rounded flavors possess fine mid-palate density before culminating in a dusty, austere and mouth coating finale. This is potentially excellent and a wine that should age gracefully for at least a decade." 91-93 Allen Meadows, Burghound.com

"The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes 1er Cru, which snuggles up just below Bonnes-Mares, has a well-defined bouquet, very floral with peony and incense infusing the dark cherry and boysenberry fruit. The palate is very concentrated with supple tannins, quite expansive in style with touches of liquorice surfacing towards the graphite-tinged finish. Very fine, but it will need time. (Drink between 2026-2046)" 91-93 Neal Martin, Vinous.com

Domaine de Cambes 2020, 0.75L
Merlot / Cabernet Franc from Bordeaux, Bordeaux

"The 2020 Domaine de Cambes is a gorgeous, luxuriously deep wine done in Francois Mitjavile's gently oxidative, concentrated style. Sumptuous black cherry, plum, chocolate, espresso and licorice all meld together. Pliant and supple, with generous fruit, Domaine de Cambes is so expressive today. Like many 2020s, it is a bit tight, but that should not be an issue in another few years' time. The purity of the flavors is compelling." 94 Antonio Galloni, Vinous

"Coming from the Côtes-de-Bourg appellation on the Right Bank and an estate owned the Mitjavile family of Le Tertre-Rôteboeuf , the 2020 Domaine de Cambes is another beautiful wine from this team that has a singular style. Redcurrants, plums, mulled cherries, spicy oak, cigar, and chocolate notes define the bouquet, and it's medium to full-bodied, with supple, soft tannins and a great finish. It's a softer, more approachable wine compared to the more structured Roc de Cambes, although both are brilliant wines." 93 Jeb Dunnuck

Raen Pinot Noir Sea Field 2021, 0.75L
Pinot Noir from Fort Ross-Seaview, California

"Extremely aromatic with plums, crushed strawberries, rose flower, powdery dirt, before turning to cherries. Hints of flower stems. Perfumed. Full-bodied and very, very firm. Rather steely. Tight at the end. It opens beautifully in an hour or so. Drink after 2025." 98 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com

"The 2021 Pinot Noir Sea Field is intensely floral and full of flavor, with cool-climate savoriness driving a core of bright, red-toned fruit. Deceptively medium in body, the 2021 has a ton of complexity waiting to emerge. Time in the glass brings out compelling inner perfume and quite a bit of nuance. But, it is tightly wound and quite reticent at this stage. (Drink between 2024-2033)" 95 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com

Mas Champart Saint-Chinian Rosé 2022, 0.75L
Mourvèdre / Cinsault from Saint Chinian, Languedoc Roussillon

"The harvest is manual and the grapes cooled before being pressed. Our Rosé comes from direct pressing. The grapes are picked less ripe than for the Reds in order to keep more aromatic freshness and to have lower alcohol content. The wine is aged on fine lees. The malolactic fermentation is done, the wine gains in finesse on the finish and the Mourvèdre brings power to give a real gastronomic Rosé. The vintage is ample, fruity and spicy with a tonic mineral finish. Very tasty as an aperitif, it goes very well with summer, Mediterranean or spicy cuisine: grilled vegetables, summer salads, terrines, fish soups, tapenade, eggplant caviar, grilled meats. Its low SO2 content accentuates its particularly digestible character." Producer Notes

Domaine du Bagnol Cassis Rosé 2022, 0.75L
Grenache / Mourvèdre / Cinsault from Cassis, Provence

“A mix of Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre, the 2022 Cassis Rosé reveals aromas of red berries, lemon, menthol, strawberry and peach. Medium-bodied, fresh and juicy, it’s long and penetrating with a mouthwatering finish.” Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate, Jun 2023

"No estate expresses the salt-kissed limestone-driven terroir of the idyllic Provençal seaside village of Cassis like Domaine du Bagnol, and the current generation, Sébastien Genovesi, crafts a rosé of scintillating energy, chiseled calcareous musculature, and gleaming red fruits. Comprising 50% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, and 20% Mourvèdre, Bagnol’s Cassis Rosé is pressed directly and rapidly (in under two hours) to extract as little color as possible, and the bottled wine (certified organic) contains only 20 milligrams per liter of total sulfur—a factor which contributes to its gorgeous purity of texture and intense evocation of limestone soil." O'Shaughnessy Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2019, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California

"The base 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is terrific, and while I don’t know the price, I suspect it’s a great value. Deep purple-hued, with terrific mulled currant and blackberry fruits, it has lots of ripe herbal, chocolaty spice notes, full-bodied richness, sweet tannins, and a great finish. This is pure Napa Valley goodness to drink over the coming 10-15 years. (Drink between 2022-2037)" 94 Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com

"Notes of black cherries and cassis combine with cedar and vanilla on the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine that's almost equal parts Howell Mountain, Mt. Veeder and Oakville. It's medium to full-bodied, reasonably concentrated and already accessible, with plush tannins and a lingering finish." 92 Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate

O'Shaughnessy Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain 2019, 0.75L
Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain, California

"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is an incredible wine, and it flirts with perfection. Full-bodied and concentrated, it has flawless balance and elegance as well as just textbook Howell Mountain notes of blue fruits, cassis, violets, graphite, and background oak. I love its tannins, it has remarkable purity of fruit, and a great, great finish. It has some appeal today yet deserves 4-5 years of bottle age and should have over two decades of longevity. (Drink between 2026-2042)" 98+ Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com

"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain offers lovely brightness and energy, all in a mid-weight style that is both appealing and surprisingly approachable for a young Howell Mountain wine. Sweet dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice, tobacco and lavender are all beautifully lifted in the glass. This is an especially gracious, polished Cabernet from Howell Mountain. The 2019 has so much to offer. Best of all, it should drink well with minimal cellaring. (Drink between 2026-2041)" 94 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com
