A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak, the wine delivers everything we look for in classic Napa: blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, tobacco, graphite, freshness, and structure. What stood out most was the balance. In an era where many Napa Cabernets have become bigger, richer, and more expensive, this wine feels refreshingly old school. There's energy, lift, and a sense of restraint that reminds us why Napa Valley became famous in the first place. And then there's the price. $39.98. For a nearly ten-year-old Napa Cabernet sourced from top vineyard sites, influenced by one of Napa's most respected consultants, and carrying the Architect Reserve label, that's an opportunity we couldn't pass up.
