"The 2004 is a sensational example from this relatively warm year in Napa. This blend of 70% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon was never acidified, and saw essentially the same aging regime as the 2003. Plenty of chocolate, blackberry and black cherry fruit as well as hints of roasted coffee and spice box jump from the glass of this dense, rich, concentrated, full-bodied wine. This beauty has also entered its plateau of maturity, but should hold there for at least another decade or more."
