"Deep red-ruby. More subdued aromas of plum liqueur, cassis, graphite and mocha. Firmer and more sharply focused than the Napa bottling, with a solid spine of acidity and slightly austere, tongue-coating tannins. Not nearly as accessible today, but should ultimately provide a more complex mouthful of wine."
