"The 2009 La Forest is the most reserved wine in the lineup to this point and it will be a stellar example of the vintage. The brilliant bouquet soars from the glass in a beautiful blend of apples, tart citrus tones, flint, wet stones and lemon peel. On the palate the wine is deep full-bodied, tight and absolutely racy, with a gorgeous core of fruit, brisk acids and a brilliantly intense, palate-staining, mineral bath of a finish. A great, great vintage for the Dauvissat La Forest."

2009 in Burgundy was warm and sunny, producing ripe, rich and generous reds of hedonistic charm and supple tannins; the whites are opulent but can lack acidity, making them best enjoyed relatively young.
The world's most versatile white grape, producing everything from steely Chablis to rich, oaked whites. Its neutrality makes it a mirror of terroir and winemaking, and the foundation of white Burgundy and Champagne.
