"A toasty and exuberantly spicy nose also features notes of very fresh dark berries that include cassis nuances along with menthol and a touch of sandalwood. This is quite supple and round with a generous mouth feel thanks to the abundant amount of dry extract that buffers the moderately firm tannic spine on the intense and well-balanced finish. This is on the woody side at present and not especially elegant but the complexity and balance are excellent."
