Lot #247. Emmanuel Rouget Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux 2002

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 94 AM.
"The nose is classy, wonderfully elegant and utterly pure, revealing concentrated aromas of red and black pinot fruit aromas plus layers upon layers of spices, including sandalwood, anise, soy, hoisin and a strong note of minerality. The linear but no longer severe flavors are moderately concentrated as well with finer tannins than usual and the intensity is impressive. This is not a powerful wine but it is certainly an elegant Cros that possesses impeccable balance that should permit it to age for 2 decades, perhaps longer. In sum, this is really a wonderful Cros where I have enjoyed consistent results." Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Apr 2011
Provenance: The Nantais Cellar
Notes: Very lightly scuffed and very lightly wrinkled capsule.
