90 JG. "The 2013 Chambolle villages from Christophe Roumier is another very lovely bottle in the making, wafting from the glass in a youthful blend of black cherries, sweet dark berries, cocoa, lovely soil tones, woodsmoke and again, just a bit of pepper. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, tight and very long and transparent, with a fine core of fruit, suave tannins and excellent bounce and nascent complexity on the long and serious finish. Fine juice." John Gilman, View From the Cellar #54, Dec 2014 |
