93 JG. "The bouquet is deep, beautiful and bottomless, as it offers up a sappy mélange of black cherries, plums, slightly roasted fruit elements as well, dark chocolate, fresh herbs, spice tones and a superb base of soil. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, sappy and closing down considerably for hibernation, with a rock solid core of pure fruit, ripe, but firm and substantial tannins, lovely acids, impeccable focus and superb length and grip on the still very primary, palate-staining finish. This will probably be one of the greatest vintages of Clos de la Bussière ever made under the Roumiers’ ownership, but it will need a fair bit of cellaring."
