97 TA. "This Charmes has more of that rustic Gevrey-ness to it than many other Charmes, very likely due to its one-third that hails from Mazoyères. Tea leaves, forest floor and mushrooms mix with wild strawberries and black cherries. The strong mineral notes linger through the dense and intense finish. Firm, lightly gruff tannins and vigorous acidity will give this excellent ageability. The vines range in age from 50 to 90 years old." Tim Atkin MW, TimAtkin.com, Nov 2021 |
