Light ruby colour. Just a little ageing on the rim, fairly mature looking for a 1998. An attractive if not complex wild strawberry scented nose. Touch of cranberry but lacking a little intensity and lift. The palate is medium-bodied, for me lacking harmony. Sharp acidity, low grip. Wild strawberry, touch of raspberry. Sharp finish. Pleasant, but lacking breeding. Reviewed by: Neal Martin
