"Good medium ruby color. Vibrant aromas of black cherry and minerals; suggests the fresh side of port. Juicy, sappy and pungent, with excellent energy to the concentrated berry flavors. Like an essence of zin, with an almost syrupy quality but no sloppiness to its flavors, and little sign of oak. Has amarone-like intensity and ripeness but comes across as dry. Finishes juicy and long, with a suggestion of dried fruits. No shortage of personality here.
