A supremely elegant and pure nose of red pinot fruit with a potent mix of undertones including smoke, game, iron-infused earth and underbrush leads to sweet, round, suave yet detailed big-bodied flavors that pack real punch as the focus and intensity are remarkable. This isn't quite as big and powerful as the Cham but it's finer and even a touch longer. A qualitative choice though the underlying character of the wines is clearly different.
