"Bright ruby. Blackberry, cassis, leather and a hint of nutty oak on the rather reticent nose, with suggestions of superripe fruit that may come from some Calistoga fruit that was harvested on November 7. Lush and savory on the palate, with coffee, mocha, clove and herbs nicely accenting the dark berry fruit. Tannins are reasonably ripe but a touch dusty and less refined than those of the 2012."
