"The blend of the 2003 Right Bank Proprietary Red is 72% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon. All three grapes were vinified separately, and then Palazzo blended them together. The wine spent 14 months in 40% new oak. Loads of coffee bean, white chocolate and blackcurrant fruit jump from the glass of this fully mature, medium to full-bodied, beautifully fresh and vigorous wine. While it is certainly in its plateau of maturity, there shouldn’t be any rush to consume it, given its freshness and overall vigor and density. This is a beauty to drink now and over the next 10 years."
