"The 2008 has the same chocolate and infused coffee notes, although there is slightly more forest floor in this wine as well as a touch more acidity. This dense purple wine is slightly more chunky and monolithic compared to 2007 and 2005, or the two subsequent vintages, but it is still well-endowed, impressively balanced, put together and seemingly in need of another 3-4 years to shed some tannin and develop more nuances. This has 12-15 years of upside left to it."
