"From a 0.375 ha parcel situated by La Grande Rue. An exceptionally fresh, airy, elegant and bright floral-suffused nose features notes of cool blue pinot fruit, red currant, tea hints and a wonderful broad range of spice influences. The latter element carries over to the energetic, precise and beautifully intense medium-bodied flavors that possess a refreshing salinity on the understated, hugely long and impeccably well-balanced finish. As seductively textured as the mid-palate is now the finish makes it quite clear that this highly complex effort will need an ample amount of cellar time."

2013 in Burgundy was a difficult, cool and hail-hit year with a late harvest and small crop; the wines are fresh, lean and classically styled, with bright acidity and firm structure, especially the reds.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
