"Early examples of the '94 had never impressed me much but this particular bottle showed remarkably well with the unmistakable fragrance of dried rose petals and sour cherries that give way to nicely detailed flavors that are pure and show no hint of astringency on either the mid-palate or the slightly warm finish. Interestingly, the palate impression is one of dust and chalk rather than minerality."
