"Full medium red. Ripe, highly aromatic nose combines redcurrant, cherry, tobacco, spices and dried flowers. Wonderfully seamless and sweet but with powerful underlying minerality giving the middle palate almost shocking energy. This fruit bomb has the saline depth and floral lift, not to mention the firm spine of tannins and acidity, to ensure a long life in bottle--especially for a village wine! A hint of orange zest on the end only amplified the impression of vibrancy."
