"The 2015 Riesling SpĂ€tlese is juicy, round and piquant. It is a mouth-filling wine . . . . Johannes Selbach calls 2015 a "picture-book vintage." Harvest started September 9 and was finished October 31. "In 2015, there was no need to care about the weather forecast; we could pick whatever and whenever we wanted. There was no rush and the grapes were just perfectâvery good looking and gorgeous to taste. Botrytis came very late in 2015 and was perfectly clear." The result is a world-class series of Auslese Rieslings, some great SpĂ€tlesen and perhaps the finest TBA from Pinot Blanc that I have ever tasted!"
