". . . there is a lovely vibrancy and freshness in the mouth with plenty of sauvage character present on the velvety and caressing big-bodied and muscular flavors that coat the mouth thanks to the abundance of dry extract that also serves to buffer the very firm tannins on the moderately austere, serious and hugely long finish. As good as this is though it's not clear at this very early juncture whether it will ultimately surpass the Bressandes. Still, both possess outstanding development potential and are of first-rate quality."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
Aloxe-Corton is a village AOC in Burgundy's Cote de Beaune, ringing the Corton hill and holding Premier Cru vineyards; it produces mostly firm, structured, earthy Pinot Noir reds built for medium-term aging.
2014 in Burgundy is a benchmark white vintage, tense, fresh and mineral, though Cote de Beaune hail cut yields; the reds are balanced and classically proportioned, with good freshness and medium-term aging potential.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
