". . . the estateās 2003 LāErrante presents a very dark color and an array of blackberries, cassis, licorice, minerals and sweet toasted oak. Today it comes across as youthful, vibrant and massively endowed, with tannins that finish a bit rough on the close. LāErrante is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon. About 80% of the fruit was air-dried for 20-30 days prior to undergoing fermentation, while the remaining 20% was harvested and then vinified with conventional methods. The wines were aged separately in 100% new oak, then were racked and the final blend was made, after which the wine was moved back into oak for an additional 16 months of aging prior to bottling . . . . Tommaso Bussolaās wines have received a good deal of critical acclaim over the last few years, and with good reason. These are remarkable wines of the highest level. The estate produces two lines of wines. In theory the BG wines are more traditional in spirit while the TB wines are meant to be more modern. In reality the main difference comes down to vineyard selection, as the estateās best fruit is reserved for the TB range."

Italy grows more indigenous grape varieties than any other country and produces wine in all 20 of its regions. From Piedmont's Nebbiolo to Tuscany's Sangiovese, its finest wines pair structure and bright acidity with a strong sense of place.
A prolific northern region known for Amarone della Valpolicella, made from dried grapes, as well as Soave and Prosecco. Its finest reds are rich, warming and concentrated.
An aromatic red grape lending perfume, red fruit and a leafy, savory edge. It thrives in the Loire and as a key blending partner in Bordeaux, especially Saint-Emilion.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
Produces plush, supple, fruit-forward reds with plum and chocolate notes. Softer and earlier-maturing than Cabernet, it adds flesh and roundness to blends and stars in Right Bank Bordeaux.
