"Full red. Aromas of strawberry, cherry, mocha, crushed rock and lead pencil, lifted by nuances of violet and licorice. Tighter and higher-pitched than the Ark and not currently showing as much silkiness of texture, with distinctly darker fruit flavors and musky minerality. Best today on the rising finish, which features lush, broad tannins and an utterly seamless texture. The least sweet and expressive of these 2008s today, but with outstanding cellaring potential."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
