"From a 0.205 ha parcel of 60+ year old vines that was acquired in 1991 from the famed Marion estate. An attractively spicy and beautifully layered nose offers up ripe aromas of red berry liqueur, violets, game and warm earth. There is good richness but also good detail to the vibrant middle weight flavors that possess good but not better mid-palate density before culminating in a firm, balanced and admirably long finish where a touch of youthful asperity appears. Note that this beguilingly and elegant wine is on the lighter side for a Clos de BĂšze though it's one that should be approachable on the younger side but age well too . . ."

2014 in Burgundy is a benchmark white vintage, tense, fresh and mineral, though Cote de Beaune hail cut yields; the reds are balanced and classically proportioned, with good freshness and medium-term aging potential.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
