"The Catoir 2008 Haardter Muskateller Kabinett trocken represents an especially resinous, penetratingly pine needle-like aromatic expression of its constituent grape variety, with peppermint and pennyroyal emerging to more pungent prominence on the wine’s firm yet refreshing, saline and subtly bitter palate. Juiciness of Persian melon and apricot help balance this toward the lusciously fruity side so that its invigorating intensity doesn’t become austerity or brusqueness. This . . . . will prove highly versatile . . ."
